Either way, I think people who do not attend are short changing themselves. Inauguration night in DC is extremely fun. I have went to inaugural balls in 2001, 2009, and 2013. My guy had lost two of those times and it was still a great night. It is like prom for grown ups. Everyone is in formal attire with plans of getting drunk and getting laid.
