When was the first time you logged into the internet, and why did you do it.

For me it was around 1992/1993. Did it to see what all the talk was about.
Note: I had a 2,400 baud modem, it took 15 mins for a image to load. ( Couldn't find any free porn. All pay to play back than.)
Not many sites. Found CompuServe on sale at the local Vid rental joint.
Bought it for around $60.00 took it home. was excited.
opened it, and found the intructions were as thick as my phone book. ( Nuts.)
Anyway Played games, chat rooms etc.

I would guess around 1991. I Bought a 386SX, which had a Turbo button. A 15" CRT monitor (at least 256 colors) and a 5.56 Modem.
Cant remember why I logged in but maybe it was to enter chatgroups.

Little throwed off by the title..had to change up my whole thought process..but I mostly logged on to the internet for the same reason I do today ENTERTAINMENT
