While many of us in the United States are busy buying gifts for the holiday season, I can't seem to shake from my mind that this coming year we will be electing a new president.

I am curious, though, what my fellow TMB players think of the current candidates.

Who do you like? Who do you dislike?

And, given the intricacies of our government and the geopolitical state of the world, is the position of president as "powerful" as it may have once been?

I have a lot of friends in the USA. My parent company is in the USA. I guess I don't get it but it is entertaining. We have a three party system in canada and I think this helps in some ways limit some of the political insanity.

The republican nut bars as mcain puts it , I think most Canadians find amusing. However this past year I was kind of shocked by actions of ted cruise. Filibustering by reading green eggs and ham and willing to shut down the government. The aftermath if he was successful would be a catastrophic event globally. Yet this guy is the one behind trump. And trump with his Muslim hate is going to prompt recruitment of terrorists into an accelerated, exponential growth ,compounding the problem and resulting in innocent people getting killed.

It has gone from being funny to scary.

The repulicans on global warming ,. Scary.

Yet the Americans put a majority of republicans into the house and Senate. So I have to believe you guys really could hand the keys over to someone that is over the top nuts as far as yielding presidential powers.

Your system in the USA is complete corruption based on financed puppets. It all seems like a waste of time and designed to make normal people check out of the system.

You should just let Canadians take over your country. Everyone loves us.

I am thinking I could care less. On the one hand it is going to cost me too much to ski in the USA now. But now my company I work for which exports to the USA predominately for most of our revenue will have a 40 percent more margin. So if trump gets elected I risk getting less profit sharing. I don't pay attention to all the characters but I seen some video of Ted Cruz with his family trying to make some promo shit for the election and it had me laughing to tears. I think there is way too much country music in the USA and this has been affecting the brains of people. When we drove down to the States a couple years ago to go to south carolina I had to order sirius xm to get a decent radio station to listen to.

I shudder at the thought of Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump becoming president moreso thn another Bush or Obama that's how bad it is. I suppose from my heart I would vote for Bernie Sanders on the left and Mike Huckabee on the right, but unfortunately we it looks like Hillary, Trump, or Jeb Bush by a nose

What I don't get is the hate for Obama. Almost every country in the free world has universal health care for their population. The USA has monsanto making people get plump down there and fucking up their cells causing cancer so the drug companies make a fortune on their population. I never seen so many fat fucks as I seen in the USA. If you are fat you get sick with all sorts of ailments, and pains, and disease. Bush left the usa in a fucking quagmire of debt and for the most part the obama years with no help from the republicans have done a great job. I am a conservative in Canada which used to equate to a republican as far as values.

I do get a bit puzzled by the muslims stepping up the conversation on terrorism and muslim connection with Trumps words when those same people are silent when a terrorist attack happens. But the entire world is going to be muslim in a weee lil bit. Someone showed me how they are breeding vs the rest of the population and so you better teach your kids about sharia law and how to make a towel fit on your head.

I think everyone in the world gets a twisted view of Americans based on the media. The media promotes the people that are owned by media. Most people in the world are pretty much the same. If we could just get control of the power we could fix a lot of shit. Unfortunately the military in the strongest countries are directed not by their leaders but by the people that have money that put those leaders into power.
