we seen a lot about fav teams and sports

but which person defines a sport or has an outstanding curriculum to be called a true champion

i personally enjoy combat sports so i'll have to go with the following:

kickboxing: ramon dekkers because he was the size of thai people and fought all their champions under their rules, in their country with their referees and crowds....he fought 223 times and won 186 matches and 95 by KO. The 35 losses came mostly due to decision and even if he had beaten them throughout the rounds the thai would win on points when he couldn't knock them out.....even when they elbowed his forehead open he would just superglue it together and win the fight anyway.

mma: bas rutten because he entered MMA competition as a striker (which i prefer/i hate wrestling) in Japan as a middleweight but fought up to heavyweight devisions and beat the best in the game. Not just that but he lost only to submissions by the Shamrock brothers and learned to grapple after that. Since then he went on a 22 fight win streak and retired undefeated....

(taken from Wikipedia: In the 4-hours, 27-minutes and 8-seconds he spent as a pro fighter, Rutten scored 13 knockdowns without getting dropped himself, his significant strike accuracy was 70.6%, the highest FightMetric has ever recorded, attempted a record 53 submissions and successfully swept his opponents a record 46 times.
And, incredibly for a fighter who had 15 wins via submission, Rutten never attempted a single takedown in his entire career.)

an extra name here would be Peter Aerts for being a K1 consistency for 15 years and mainly top3 all those years....
