I can't talk for other fams, but UC has never relied on subs to.do well.

It's good teamwork that counts.

We have always done well with 0 subs, although HH subs most of the time.
We work with 0'd bank or du bank. It makes no odds.

An active level 1 will do more than a sub holder that just signs in and builds/collects.
The latter of which you are quite familiar with.

I really don't think a diamond sub makes that much difference anymore unless you are a killer or collector. The game now is looting and a small sub (or won credits) is all you really need to get the job done.

It will be interesting to see which families continue to do well if the looting rule is changed and which families backslide.

To be honest, the way this game is going, JP constantly being paid in won creds no one should sub up.
